Another year has gone by
Well, another year has gone by. It's hard to believe that it's already the end of another year. I didn't exactly have a very good start to the year. At the beginning of the year, I caught a MRSA staph infection in my right knee, but had it dectected early, and got immediate treatment. I'm just glad it's now just a thing of the past, because that was really scary. And after that, I just seemed to have one bodily infection after another. First I get a MRSA staph infection, and then after I finally get rid of that, I get a mild sinus infection, which made me feel light headed. So sure enough, I had to go on some antibiotics for a mild sinus infection. It turns out my ears were congested and that's why I had been feeling slightly off balance. And while I was on antibiotics for that, I got another infection somewhere else, but I'm not going to say, because it's too much information. But at least that was easy to get rid of.
On a more positive note, my boyfriend and I at least got to go out to dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day. I got a plush teddy bear that would sing a song by Diana Ross. And I bought us a big heart shaped box of chocolate for us to share. In March, Jason hung out with me for Easter, and I got him an Easter Basket. And because he got me a stuffed teddy bear that sung a song by Diana Ross, I thought it would be funny to get him a plush rabbit to stick in his basket, where if you squeezed it, it would make that clucking sound. And for Easter Dinner we had salmon and deviled eggs. At least I can say that this year, I learned how to cut a grapefruit in half the right way, and I learned how to make Deviled eggs. I didn't start running again this year until March this year. I would have started earlier, but due to illness and injury caused by bodily infections, I ended up starting up again a lot later than I meant to. In March of this year, I also started helping my boyfriend at his cleaning jobs, and making a little extra money at the side, so I really didn't get to run as often as I would have liked to. But on the plus side I ran a 5k run in May this year, and I won the race for the women! So I've still got it! I've also been contacting my friend, Jeremae a little bit more often.I think we do need to keep way more in touch more often. It would be nice if she lived much closer. Then we could get together more often, once for each season of the year, and possibly shop for her daughters twice a year. I've also been thinking about taking the fact that I've been taking pictures and making slideshows with them, and might possibly start my own business of making slideshow videos for other people. This summer I did most of my usual summer traditions. Every summer in June, it's almost as if it's Party time. Jason, me, and my friend, Jack went to the carnival in Mukwonago they have every year in Field Park on Father's Day.

Normally, I would also go to this thing called, the Relay For Life a week later. But my boyfriend had double booked 2 cleaning jobs instead of just one, so I never really got to enjoy it this year. And on top of it, that evening activity ended early due to an electrical thunder and lightening storm that was coming our way.
This year, on the 4th of July, me and Jason did some grilling weenies and hamburgers at his parent's house. He also made and prepared other things, such as deviled eggs, and shrimp cocktail, and brownies for desert. The deviled eggs were good. But it was my family recipe he used, what do you expect, and I find those quite addicting. They're real easy to make, too. I don't know why I don't make them more often.
Later that night, we went down to New Berlin, WI to see that our favorite local band, The Toys was playing that night, and then after that, we went to watch the fireworks. But here's how it goes: it seems like every summer in Wisconsin, June is the party month to live it up in the summer, July is the vacation month in the summer, and then August seems like the dead month in the summer where all that energy from the summer fun is just gone. Probably because it's usually the last month of summer before the fall season begins. But anyways, we had some heatwaves come and go in July this year. I only wish we could have gone swimming on those days. I would have, if I wasn't on my TOM and didn't have to work. And to make matters worse, I was left without a car and stuck at home almost all day, everyday. But at least one last fun thing Jason and I like to do in the summer (probably more me than him) is going to Noah's Ark in the Wisconsin Dells. As you can see, on of my favorite rides at Noah's Ark water park is the Black Anaconda. It's a water slide and a roller coaster at the same time. What's crazy is that the time warp water slide was shut down while we were there.
Anyways, for Labor Day, my boyfriend and I went to the Wal Worth County Fair for 3 days in a row. And while we were there, we went to see the Beach Boys perform in concert at the fair, which was cool.
