Good stuff that's happened so far as of 1/5/2017
So what's happened so far, this year:
1. At the start of the year, got $500.00 to deposit into my account so that I have more money for the month to help me just get by.
2. 3 days later I got my new debit card in the mail
3. Might be getting a new job in Waukesha, real soon. (hope this one works out a lot better than my last one)
4. Days are getting longer and lighter out after 5pm. (of course you don't really notice it more until after the first 7 to 9 days of the month)
5. After this week and last week of temperatures being below 20 degrees outside, we're finally going to have a bit of a "January thaw out". Basically what's going to happen is after this week, temperatures are going to get back into the 20's and 30's. I can live with winter weather being in the 20's and 30's, but anything under 20 is too cold!
6. We've been invited to Minnesota to see some relatives. (Sure hope Jason can go, and that we can find someone to take care of our cat, while we're gone)
So, I might be off to a good start to a new year. And hopefully if having this job works out, and I'm able to put away more money each month, as well as have more money to help pay for rent, maybe if I'm lucky we'll both be able to afford a better place out in Waukesha, when it comes time for our lease in Palmyra to be up. It looks like things are starting to look up for me. And hopefully, it's going to be a good year. Hopefully better than last year. So I'm already having little things happening for me that are good things, and the little things are important.
Last night Jason had mentioned to me that he misses our old place in Waukesha. I miss it there, too. And as he was saying, he thought it would be nice if we could just move back into our old apartment complex so that we'd be closer to his mom. But I don't know if they would let us, due to our history of renting from them.
Maybe hopefully we can try to look for somewhere into Waukesha to move to, so that when our lease is up, we have somewhere to go. At least I can say that we've already took some baby steps towards getting back on track and making it possible to move back into Waukesha. Now if I count the month we've moved in here, we'e lived here for 5 months, already. And we've got 7 months left, which is plenty of time for us to get back on track. I already filled out an application online with both our names on it for low income housing. And Jason is doing what he needs to get his health back on track so he can go back to work and if he does that, and then I'm also getting a job to make some money, that might be what we need to be able to move back to where we want to be. Honestly, living in a small town where there's not much to do, is so depressing. I think maybe I just need little things to look forward to, and good things to look forward to for each month, and let that be a distraction, until then.
