Highlights for me as of January 10, 2025

So here's some interesting highlights for January so far:

1 highlight as always is seeing it get lighter outside at 5pm on the dot, so basically 5pm goes from being 5 at nighttime back to 5 during the day. I also got an e-mail from Milwaukee Congenital heart defects letting me know when this year's Congenital Hear Walk was for this year. YES! It seems to me quite a few of the resorts up in the Wisconsin Dells are either getting or have gotten some new editions in their water parks put in, and I would love to see how it looks this year. This year they're renovating and expanding their indoor water park some more. NICE!! I really hope I get the chance to go there due to some opportunities that might come up because of my disabilities and that I get a chance to spend some downtime there, while I'm there.

Also, I started watching this new show on TLC called "Baylen Out Loud". It's about a young woman who has Tourette's Syndrome and her special journey in life dealing with it. I never really talked about my feelings about the 2024 election, but I was pretty angry, depressed, scared and sick to my stomach that Donald Trump would get re-elected after all he has done the last time he was in office. I really think the way he became president in 2016 and 2024 wasn't legal. If he cheated by having Russia mess with our voting systems so he could get elected the first time, why not this time around, as well? At least this time around, we have a better idea of what we're dealing with, and I'm already seeing articles popping up on the internet talking about him getting impeached. If he does, I really hope they do the right thing and not only impeach him but convict him and have him removed from office!

As for the Chinese New Year, this year is the year of the snake, ironically enough, when this is also the year that thing retakes office, illegally. But next year's Chinese New Year, is the year of the horse. Next year will also be the year for midterms. And a heard of horses could easily trample a snake. So, if we're even able to still vote by next year, hopefully, that thing will once again lose the House, which means we'll get a new speaker of the House. In all my years, I don't ever recall the Speaker of the House being a person of color. So, if the Republicans lose the house next fall, we could end up having Hakeem Jeffries as our new Speaker of the House. I think that would be pretty cool.

I also recently got to go to the Field Museum and got to see this neat exhibit on there for a limited time about cats. If they ever have an exhibit there on killer whales, I know I would love to see that!

Anyway, I'm also excited to be doing some disability advocacy work, this year.
