Change of plans and other things
Ok, maybe originally we were supposed to be going to Minnesota, this weekend. But due to weather being bad this weekend, we're going to hold off until next weekend. It's probably just as well. We just took our cat to the vet for his final distemper and rabies vaccination, and found out he had an ear infection. So we have to give him ear drops twice a day for a week. Hopefully by the time we go out of town, he should be all better. At least I can say it was nice having that heat wave with temperatures being above freezing when it lasted. I survived my first week of running again. For now, I'm going to run 4 times a week and swimming at the gym. Then eventually I'll start running and swimming 5 times a week, and then maybe 6. I just hope that there's no repeat of what happened last year when I got those nasty kidney stones which had me side lined and it ruined my summer. On one hand I know I shouldn't be wishing the winter away too much because next to running again, I also need to change the way I eat, which means reduce the crap I like to eat. It means cut back on caffinated and carbonated drinks, and alcoholic drinks. It means reduce junk food. Another good thing is that, ever since I started going to the YMCA, again, I've actually been feeling a lot better, emotionally. And I figure maybe this will help me cope with living where we are.
I know until our lease is up, that we're going to make where we're at as comfortable and as tolerable as possible. I'm happy to say that our cat makes living in Palmyra a little more tolerable. But I also need to work on hopefully getting a job doing something. Maybe when I get a job I can still find time to go for runs when I get off of work. Swimming, too. I do know that as far as wishing the season away goes, on one hand I shouldn't. But on the other hand, I'm also trying to hold on, to the money I do have left and save what I have left, so that the amount of money I do have in my account next month is higher than last time. But I do hope I can get a job doing something I know how to do where I won't ever have to worry about making mistakes and getting fired. I figure the sooner I get a job, the sooner I might be able to get us a little more financially back on track. One thing I want to do is move back into the Waukesha area, this year.
