3rd time's a charm!
Well, yesterday, I went to the gym and made an attempt to go for a run, yesterday. Then I ended up stopping at my parent's house to get help filling out that thing online so that Jason and I would be signed up for low income housing, together. And the reason I never got anything saying whether or not the application had been submitted is because there were things that we forgot to fill in. But after the 3rd attempt to fill the application out with some help, I finally got through. And I got an e-mail from them. So the good news is that at least the application got submitted. The bad news is that it may take about a month before I'm even able to check my status on the waiting list. But I signed us both up on the waiting list so that we can get a low income place in Waukesha, together. Honestly, when driving from here into any of the towns in Waukesha County, Eagle is the first town you have to go through. And Eagle has some pretty weird intersections. They're an accident waiting to happen! Hopefully, I'll only have to drive through Eagle for 8 more months. Nine, if you count how we have to move all our things back out, if we get an apartment in Waukesha next summer, when it comes time. And then clean up after ourselves before leaving the apartment, for good. But there's still that chance, that there might not be anything available for when the time comes for our lease on where we are now, to be up in Waukesha. If not, we're here for another year. I hope not, though. I know I said last year, that I wouldn't be living at Hickory Hill Flats by next Christmas. Thank God I was right about that.
So fortunately I was able to fill out an application online. Unfortunately it took me 3 tries to be successful. Fortunately, I got an e-mail from Waukesha Housing Authority. Unfortunately it's going to be a month before I can check my status. Fortunately we still have 8 months left before we really have to worry about whether or not we can find a new place back out that way, in time. Unfortunately, there's still a chance, we might not be able to find anything available that we need when the time comes, meaning we may have to live here. Not because we want to, but because we have to.Unfortunately also, waiting lists suck because they can take years!
Anyways, I already made it 3 months of living here. Maybe if I can make it another 3 months, and survive and make the best of living here in this winter. By February we'll be at the half way mark, that would be a good reason to celebrate by playing Bon Jovi's "Living On a Prayer", just as a reminder that we're half way there, and that we will get through living here. We will move back into the Waukesha County, next year.
