good news for once
Well, at least last night there's been some good news. Last night Doug Jones (Democrat) won over Roy Moore (Republican) for Alabama Senate. I think this is a good thing. And right now we need to vote blue because we really need to get rid of these complicit republicans out of the senate and so forth, and so that we can get rid of Donald Trump. He doesn't belong in the White House. And to all those who were so happy when Donald Trump won the election for President of the United States last year, if there's anything I would like to say to them about the results of the election in Alabama, it would have to be: Karma's a bitch. So is Trump, and so are you for voting for him. At least that's one good thing that happened for December of 2017.
After having a good spring, a bad summer, and a bad September, some good things seemed to be happening for me and around the country for me and Jason, this month. In October we end up adopting a cat. In November, we get a nice new Christmas tree for Christmas, and last night Doug Jones wins this special election in Alabama for senate. I hope this is a sign that from here through next year, it's going to be a good year. It's going to be a better year for us.Maybe I should have signed up to be on a waiting list for Willow Park apartments in Waukesha. Luckily, I've already talked to 2 people and let them know how I signed both me and Jason up onto a waiting list for Low income housing in Waukesha. And so far they've both said that if I just did that, last week, chances are that maybe someone should contact me soon. This means that, it's very likely it could happen. Maybe I could talk to them about what it is I'm looking for, and maybe they could help me out in finding a place that could work. But I do know it has to be something Jason and I would be able to afford should our rent be divided in half and not have it take up all the money in our bank account just to pay for rent, all the other things we would need for that month just to survive and nothing else. It also needs to be some place that allows pets. I certainly don't want to give up our cat, just so we can live in some apartment in Waukesha. I want to take him with us. Now for 2 people to already tell me that if I just put us on a waiting list, that someone should maybe get a hold of me, maybe it will. I don't want it to be anything that would cost so much we wouldn't have money for any leisure activity. And it needs to be some place pet friendly. Those are really the 2 biggest things. Plus if there's anywhere in Waukesha we either need or want to go, we won't have as far to go just to get out there. Especially if Jason is going to keep having these health issues that keep landing him in the hospital. That way he won't have as far to go, just to go out that way.
I realize that at least right now we're living in a safe environment with a living room big enough to still put our Christmas tree up for the holidays, even after setting everything else up that goes in our living room. But there's not a lot out here to do. And driving from Palmyra into the Waukesha county area is just a pain in the ass! It would be nice if we no longer had to live out here and could move some place into Waukesha other than Hickory Hill Flats. But if they can't find something for us available when it's time for our lease to be up, we are going to have to stay put. Chances of moving back into Waukesha at the end of next summer are still 50-50. There's a 50% chance we could still be able to move back into Waukesha and live in a low income housing apartment with our cat. But then there's a 50% chance we may have to stay put and renew our lease until something comes up.
