Cuddle Clones

Well, I have to say, when leaving my parent's house the other day, I just remember wishing I could give Libby a hug, one last time, again. And in a way, it's hard knowing that when I came over, she was still alive. I laid next to her, one last time, let her kiss my face, one last time, and held her close. Then a vet came to do the Euthanasia. And at about 2:39 in the afternoon, she was gone. But she didn't look like she was gone. She just looked like she was sleeping. But we did end up laying her to rest. She looked so peaceful. It's going to be hard knowing she's not around, anymore, and acknowledging that we no longer have a dog. I know I wasn't ready to open my heart to any new dogs 5 or 6 months ago, and I know I won't be ready to open my heart to any dogs after what just happened 2 days ago. And between today and yesterday I've had moments on and off where I've wanted to cry. But luckily, I did contact my bank, and in a couple of weeks, I should be getting a new special card. And maybe with that card, depending on how much money I have in my bank, I could submit an order to have a stuffed animal made to look like Libby. I know I'll never be able to give our family dog, Libby a hug anymore, but maybe that way at least I'll have something to hug, if I ever think of her and miss her. Plus if I have a stuffed animal that looks liker her, then in a way, at least I could have her with me in some physical form. I know it maybe a little juvenile. But then again, you're never too old to have some kind of stuffed animal, just as long as you're not some adult carrying it around with you in public. But I think if I do this, then in a way, I'll have her with me. That's also why I had some special memorial ornaments made in memory of some of our other dogs. I had 5 memorial ornaments made with pictures of our dog, Speck on them, so that in a way, he would always be with us. Then I also had a Christmas ornament made to look like Jason's dog from cuddle clones. So I want to do something with Libby.
