Cold update

Cold update: 1 week ago today, I was losing my voice. Today my voice is back and another good thing is I'm not coughing up a storm like I was yesterday. When I went to prohealth care, they said there had been a very bad head and chest cold going around that lasted for 2 weeks. I really think I should have just stayed home all week last week from work. My throat is still sore, I felt tired and my nose was running like a waterfall. I should have just told them I'm not up to going back to work. Today, my nose hasn't been running like a waterfall. Maybe my throat will stop hurting. At least my throat responds to cough drops and cold drinks. When I first had a cold, my throat wouldn't respond to anything. Either way, I hate colds. I hate that the month of November had to end badly for me this year with me getting sick with a severe cold. I haven't had a cold like this since May of 2014. What I have is like a combination of what I got 4 and a half years ago and the cold ...

Cold duration

Let's see, Friday afternoon while I'm out and about, shopping for a few things, I get hit with a really bad sore throat that just wasn't going away no matter what I did, and it eventually hurt so bad, I couldn't even swallow anything and was afraid to even talk. So Friday night I end up buying both dayquil and nyquil along with some orange juice at Walmart. On Saturday my throat isn't hurting nearly as much, but I started losing my voice. On Sunday, my voice came back and my sore throat went away but had a fever of 101.6, and was also having body aches and pains so I ended up spending the whole day sleeping it off, and luckily my fever broke. And then today, it feels like my cold felt like it picked up where it left off, with my sore throat coming back again and me losing my voice again. I did have a sore throat until tonight. All all through my ordeal I've just been making sure I get lots of sleep, take Dayquil, cough drops, drinking orange juice, as well as co...

Hilights of November

So here are some of the highlights for November: 1. When it comes to politics, a lot of the seats in the house of representatives flipped from red to blue, and here in Wisconsin, we finally got rid of Scott Walker. I really thought he would never go, either. Thank God! 2. Next week at the support group meeting, we're going to be having our first ever movie night. 3. I won't have to work on the Friday after Thanksgiving. 4. I only had to work in the morning but was off for the rest of my birthday. 5. I got to decorate the Christmas tree. 6. Having it be 50 degrees on the day after Thanksgiving

just an update

It's now been a month since we moved into our new place. Lately I've been thinking about past Christmases. This will be the first Christmas I've spent in Mukwonago, in 4 years. When I look at Christmas from last year and the year before that, it seems as though I've moved around a lot. Two years ago now, I was living on my own and promised myself that for Christmas of the next year, I wouldn't still be living where I was by myself. And then last Christmas Jason and I were living together in Palmyra. At least we were living together, but I just wasn't happy with where I was living, and I promised myself that this year for Christmas we wouldn't still be living in Palmyra, and here we are, living in a nicer place. Some things I've mentioned about living here are similar to what we had when we were living together at West Grove. And I'll admit, there are things I liked about living there that I still miss, like being able to ride bikes where I did. Hopef...

I need a new job

Just as the title to this blog states: I'm going to need a new job that pays better than what I'm making now. Granted as much as I like the freedom of doing whatever I want to do and when I want to do it, I really can't afford to be without a job. And with the money I get from social security each month combined with what I get paid each week, it's still not enough to get by. And although it maybe good that I have a job doing what I'm doing,  it's just not enough to get by. And to be honest, I'm not really getting paid enough. I need something that pays more than just 8-10 an hour and it has to be something that I know I'm going to enjoy doing. I mean, here's what I've noticed.  I only work 3 hours a day for only 2 to 4 days a week. And maybe for the first hour or 2, I'm usually pretty good at not looking at what time it is. But then by the time I have an hour or a little less than an hour left, I usually just want to get out of there and hav...

Hilights for October 2018

Well, so far, it's now been a week since we moved into our new place in Mukwonago. So far hilights include: 1. Moving into our new apartment 2. The Wednesday in the first week of October as well as the Monday and Tuesday in the 2nd week of October, we got to experience summer weather with temperatures being in the 80's 3. I got to have a 3 day weekend on the 3rd full week of October. (I got to have Friday off from work) 4. The car I've been driving got a new battery put in. 5. On October 13 or 14th, we finally got around to making a castle for our cat, and as of October 24, he finally started to warm up to it. 6. Got to go to a costume part with Jason. This time around we were actually able to leave Boo home alone by himself. 7. Got to do the Jack O'Lantern Jaunt, and take lots and lost of pictures.

Update on how it's been going

Well, it's been almost a week since we left in Palmyra and boy, does it feel good to be back in the Waukesha county,  knowing we no longer have to drive through Eagle to get into Palmyra and back again. But as promised, although we were still going to be living in Palmyra for most of the year, we'll be back in the Waukesha county by the end of the year. And right now I'm liking where we're living. Even though I think about where we used to live until recently, what we used to see, I think we're happy where we are, now. And I know I'm going to enjoy decorating our new apartment for Halloween. So, let's see: We moved in on Monday afternoon and got all the big heavy things moved in, first. Tuesday- And then there was light- I brought all the lamps we had out of storage. I know that we had a closed kitchen at our place in Palmyra, so the light didn't reflect into our living room. Therefore we needed more of the lamps in the living room since we didn't...

We did it!!!

Well, we did it! We are officially no longer living in Palmyra, Wisconsin. We finished moving all of our stuff out of there and then cleaned the place up, 1 last time. Although it feels a little weird to be out of there after living there for over a year, it feels good to be back in Waukesha county, again. And I have been waiting all year for the day that we finally leave Palmyra for good. And that day has finally arrived, today. I'm so happy!!! We are however staying over night at my parents house tonight. Boo is also just making himself at home in my bedroom, for tonight. At least the next time he goes for a car ride, he won't have to go as far, which means maybe he won't get sick in the car and puke tomorrow.

Hilights for September 2018

1. I got to run at this year's Dylan's run for autism and got 2nd place for women in my age category 2. We finally got to move out of Palmyra, even though it wasn't until the last day of September, but it still counts.

Well this is it

Well, this is it! Tonight is going to be the last night we'll be living in Palmyra. And even though we have 2 days left before we can move into our new place, tonight will be our last night out of here. I'm so excited! Tomorrow morning we'll have to load the cars up with some final things, and then we're out of here! And tomorrow night, we'll just be staying over night at my parents house. So, to celebrate our last night, I decided to go to Culver's for an early dinner. I had a Reuben sandwich, and today's flavor of the day: chocolate decadent. It was the best tasting chocolate ice cream I've ever had, there!

Only 3 days left to go

Well, only 3 days left to go before we get out of Palmyra, for good. So far, we've moved a large majority of our stuff out of our current apartment and into a storage unit in Waukesha. So now, we're just living like we're living in a hotel room. All I did yesterday was drop off some final stuff at our storage unit, and then spent the rest of the day out here. Today, I need to get gas for the car. Might also buy some chocolate candy and either some juice or orange pop, as a personal way of celebrating our move out of here. Yes!!!

I guess things have ways of working themselves out

You know, it's funny how things turn out. We got a thing in the mail telling us we needed to either be out of here by this Tuesday or pay rent for this month. So, we started packing our stuff up on Saturday. Here I thought we could stay over at parents house for a week, but my dad was being a real dick about it saying we could stay here for a week. So, luckily one of Jason's friends gave us 1000 in cash to pay our landlord, which we took care of, today. Now that our rent has been paid for this month, that gives us a little more time to pack the rest of our stuff up, and move more at our own pace. Aftterall, we can't move into the new place for another week from today. So far, all of our kitchen stuff is out of there for the most part. All cabinets and closets have been cleaned out except for the ones in the bedrooms.

Change of plans

Well, there's been a sudden change of plans in how we're going to be moving out of Palmyra. Originally. I thought we would be moving out of here on the first of October but we got something in the mail stating that either we pay rent for this place which we didn't, or we have to be out of here by September 25. That's 3 days away. To make matters worse, we're having trouble finding places to get boxes to pack up all our stuff for the big move. Or we were. I hate when we have to be moved out in such little time. I'd rather go at my own pace.

It's the final countdown!

We're leaving Palmyra. On October 1st. And we're moving to a much better place.  There's only 10 more days to go 'til we leave the town. Only 10 more days to go. It's the final countdown. But anyway, today when I looked at my work schedule for next week, it turns out I'm not even scheduled to work next week. I hope I'm not in any kind of trouble, or anything. But on the plus side with my not having to work next week, at least this gives me more time to pack all our things up and pepare to move out of Palmyra to the new place. I need all the time I can get, too. So realistically, I hopefully have 2 weeks off. A week to pack up all our things so we can move out of here, and a week to unpack all our things at the new place and get settled in.

Hump day and what to expect the next couple of weeks

So today after I was done meeting with DVR, I stopped by my work to give my boss a note asking to have the week of October 1st off. The way I see it, for this weekend and all of next week we're just going to be packing all of our stuff up into boxes. And on Friday of this week, it's the final countdown on how many days we have left before we're out of there. The way I see it, on the day of October 1st, we'll take the cat and all his things to our new place, first when we go pick up the new keys.  Then we'll put him and all his things in a room and get the room set up, so he'll be comfortable. Then while we have him shut in 1 room, we'll come back and get most of the little things over there, first, unload them. Then, on the next day, bring over the bigger things, put them away, and put everything else away. And then, we come back to the old place one last time to give it a final deep clean, and then we're out of there, and we return the keys.

2 weeks left

We're only going to be living in Palmyra for 2 more weeks because in 2 weeks from tomorrow, we'll be getting out of there. So until then, we're really only going to be living there for 2 more weeks. 2 weeks from today, it'll be our last day of living out there. Still have more stuff that needs to be moved and put in boxes. And by Friday this week, we'll only have 10 days to go, before leaving the town. And when we have 10 days left to go, it's the final countdown. TUESDAY-Today after I got off work, I went to the social security office to give them my pay stubs as well as let them know I'd be moving. I also stopped back at work to lwt them know I was going to need the first full week of October off to move all my stuff into our new apartment. All I have 2 do is write a note and hand it in requesting off for that week and I'm set. I also found out today at work they have Won Ton chicken soup! I love that stuff!

3 weeks left

Well, 3 more weeks left before we move out of our place in Palmyra. We talked about our moving date being when it was. The whole family is going to come together and move all our stuff out of the ols place into the new place. I figure Boo and all his things can just ride over there with me to the new place. I think once I'm settled in, I should get situated with seeing a therapist at Health and Human services for trauma from being bullied and what not. Some other things that happened this week include me finding out a former cross country coach I had actually wrote and published a book and book signing will happen the first of October, the day we move in. On Friday, we took our cat to the vet, because his fur got matted, again. The next time he has to go for a ride in the car, he'll be leaving Palmyra for good. Poor little guy really doesn't like riding in cars as it gets him real bent out of shape. Like, when he rides on cars now, it'll make him sick. When we got hi...

Dylan's run for autism next year

After doing Dylan's run for autism, this year, here's what I hope 2 do next year: I hope next year, I can get there earlier so, I can get situated, sooner. I hope to bring my time down from what it was, this year. I hope I can practice running more days a week, and practice running a 2 mile race even faster than 13 minutes. And I hope to eat a lot more healthier, prior to the big race. Maybe I should run more races both before and after because it might be the motivation I need to want to eat healthier so that I can run faster times. Lucky for me I might get that opportunity to practice later this fall over at Field Park, after we're done moving into our new apartment in Mukwonago

....4 weeks left

Well, another season of living in Palmyra, Wisconsin has gone by. And that'll be the last full season we'll be living out there. My work schedule totally fucked up my work schedule by making it out to look like I was going to get Labor day off, when really I didn't get to have Labor day off. And working on Labor day wouldn't be so bad if I was informed sooner that I even had the work that day. They need to do a better job of informing me, than that. At least I made up fir lost time, eventhough I was pretty pissed off the rest of the time I was at work. I mean, wtf? I at least I made it up to myself by taking myself out for lunch, and decided to go to Subway since I need to eat healthier. I also got a new movie for myself on DVD but I'm not going to watch it until maybe my birthday or at least when it gets closer to Christmas. Then I went home and took a nap. When I woke up, who should be sleeping next to me but Boo. Bless his little heart. The next day, I had to t...

Hilights of August this year

Highlights of August this year: 1. I got a job, even if it's just bagging at Pick N' Save in Mukwonago. 2. Jason and I went to Cool Waters for a little while. 3. Our search for apartments in Waukesha county is finally over as we finally found an apartment we liked in Mukwonago and already signed the lease 4. I entered 7 pictures in this year's Walworth county fair in photography and one of them placed 3rd overall. I have 2 say, the picture I took of the mushroom looked pretty majestic just from the angle I took at it.

......5 weeks left.....

Seeing that I've been blogging so much about just wanting to move out of Palmyra back into Waukesha county, I figure I need to talk about other things to pass the time.  Let's see, this week I'm only working for 3 days this week with a total of 3 hours, each. That's only 9 hours. Monday: The pool at the YMCA is closed from now until after Labor day which is a shame, because today would have been a good day to go swimming as hot out as it is today. I guess I could always go swimming somewhere else but it would cost me money. Jason also got a new job working at Pizza Hut, but he'll only be making 12 an hour. It's still more than what I'm making at Pick N Save as a bagger. Hopefully that should change in the next month. Hopefully I start getting paid a little more money than what I'm making,  now. Last night we had an electrical storm, more or less go through Southeastern Wisconsin, and ot may have done quite a number on some of the trees. Anyways, as of...

Just think........

Just think, it's almost been a year since Jason and I first moved out here to Palmyra, and now we're going to be getting back out of Palmyra in only 5 more weeks as of tomorrow! Yes, I already made myself a countdown calendar. And I might even put that on the wall. I did the same thing last December as a way of keeping track of how many months we had left before our year long lease is up. And as of this Friday our lease for our place in Palmyra will be up. I would also like to point out that I'm already emotionally ready to be moving out of here. And I know that we're somewhat physically ready to move out, since now we have somewhere to go. We just need to start saving up every week at least 433.00 and then we're prepared.

Thinking, and how my work day went, yesterday

So in the last month, 1 thing I've been thinking about is how this place looked when we first moved in and how 1 day, it's going to be looking like that again. Yesterday was kinda interesting at work. 1 of the customers had some kind of back injury and couldn't really do alot of bending over. So she had me help her take her groceries to her car. And I got a tip of 1.35. Cool. Now, although there maybe times I'll show up at work and just won't really feel like wanting to be there, I think I should be lucky to have gotten a job working in a disability friendly workplace by myself. Besides I need the money. And because the SSI money I receive every month runs out too fast, it's good that I'm working and getting money to help keep my balance a float. Anyway yesterday when it got close to it being the end of my shift, I remember feeling tired and just wanting it to be over. I had a co-worker who felt the same way. Now, I know that depending on where you work, wor...

Good news and bad news

Well, I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that not only do we have less than a year left before our lease in Palmyra is up. And not only do we have less than a year left but we now have less than a month left. The only bad news is that we might still have to stay in Palmyra for 1 more month. But on the plus side, it gives us a chance to get financially prepared to pay rent for our new place. This also gives Jason a chance to get a job, so he can earn the money that he would need to afford to live in our new place. At least August is going to be our last full month to live in Palmyra before we have to start packing our things up, again and start getting it out of there. Another good thing is that if you're living in an apartment and you're going to stay put after the year long lease is up, the lease goes down from a year long to a month long. So, after the year long lease is up, you can pretty much move out anytime after the year long lease is up. I know th...

Another month has just about gone by

I can't believe this! We're already in the last full week of August! September begins at the beginning the end of next week.  Let's see what's all happened this month: First, at the end of July and beginning of August, I had gone in for a job interview and ended up getting a job as a bagger at Pick N save.  Then in yhe first weekend, Jason and I went down to Cool Waters for a little while.  Then during the first full week of August,  we went to look at that apartment in Pewaukee a 2nd time. By then, I started feeling uncomfortable about that guy who was the landlord for that place, and we decided to stick to either getting an apartment in Mukwonago or Waukesha.  Then on Friday that week, I started my first day of work as a bagger.  And then later that evening that landlord called me back and the way he was acting on the phone after I told him as nicely as I could, no thank you,  and it did bother me and made me glad we weren't going to be moving ther...

8/18/2018

Well, I know I've said I've mentioned this many times, before, but just think: Yes, for most of last year I was living in Waukesha but then ended up in Palmyra for the rest of last year. And for most of the year, we've been living in Palmyra for most of the year, but for the rest of this year, we will be back in Mukwonago. And I think possibly on Monday, we're supposed to meet with the landlord of this new place, and sign a new lease for this place in Mukwonago. And hopefully then we'll find out when we can start moving things in. So, that should be nice. It also feels good to know that not only do we have less than a year left before our lease for where we are now is up, but we now have less than a month left. What's also interesting is that this wouldn't be the first time Jason has lived in Mukwonago. He has lived in Mukwonago once, before. And yeah, we still have to drive through Eagle in Wisconsin just to get where ever else it is we're going in the ...

I think the search for apartments is finally over!

Well, I think the search for apartments in Waukesha county is finally over! As they say, 3rd time is a charm! Apart from a few bad moments I had today where I lost my temper, I'm glad to say that at least Jason and I got the apartment we saw, the other day. And on Monday afternoon at 5pm, we have to go over and sign some paperwork for the new place. Now, because this new landlord saw a side of me I wish he hadn't, I know I really need to figure out a better way to deal with situations that maybe frustrating. Otherwise if he give us a chance and he sees me flying off the handle, we could evict us because of my temper. That's far more of a reason to evict a tennant in an apartment complex, than it is to evict someone just because their unit is a little messy, and hasn't been able to find the time to make sure it's spick and spand, and because they're constantly going to be in the tenant's personal space and business. (Just don't be losing your temper in fr...

Apartments we've looked at

1. Fleetfoot apts 2. An apartment in Pewaukee 3. Waukesha Manor 4. Springdale apartments in Brookfield 5. Riverview Apartments in Mukwonago 6. Rivers Edge 7. Walnut Grove apartments, Waukesha 8. 211 Apartment building on Morris street, Pewaukee 9. Lambeth, Waukesha 10. Ashlynn Village, Mukwonago

If we get the apartment in Mukwonago

If we get that apartment we looked at in Mukwonago today, I'm just going to be like, So long, Palmyra! Rose, Jason and Boo are returning to Mukwonago! Mukwonago, I hope you're ready for the 3 of us to move back in! Did you miss us?!

I think this time we found what we're looking for

So, Jason and I just got done looking at another apartment in Mukwonago. After seeing it, I have to say, I'm impressed! It has all the amenities we want, it's pet friendly, there's no security deposit for pets. And monthly rent for where we just looked at is 850. a month! I think we found the perfect place to move to! The search is over! It's even better than what we had at West Grove! When we came by, I knew I had a good feeling about the apartment complex. And after what I saw today, I love it. And I just want to do a happy dance. I literally feel like doing a happy dance, right about now.  YAAAAAAYYYY!!!! So, I think now, it'll be safe to say that, we definitely will be out of Palmyra, Wisconsin in plenty of time for Halloween. I do know that just days prior to us moving out, I'm going to resumw my plans to get Boo and all his things out of there, first. And he can stay over at my parents house while we're getting all our stuff out of there. If there...

Highlights for August, so far, this year.

So far, here's some highlights for August of this year: 1. Jason and I got to go to Cool Waters together, for a little while. Finally! 2. I got a part time job working at Pick N Save in Mukwonago. My quest towards getting a job anywhere this year was taking such a long time, so I finally took matters into my own hands. 3. I've got pictures that I'm going to be entering in Walworth county fair, this year Today, Jason and I are going to be looking at another apartment complex in Mukwonago. If it allows cats regardless of whether or not they're declawed or their age, it's within our ranges that we'd be able to afford monthly, and it's 2 bedroom, we'll take it. Just hope we get accepted to move in, if it meets what we're looking for. If it doesn't have a dishwasher, it's not the worst thing in the world. Or if it doesn't have an open breakfast bar, either. Or a walk in closet. But since I'm working, maybe if we get accepted to move ...

One way or another.......

One way or another, hopefully we WILL be getting out of Palmyra, Wisconsin, this fall. Yesterday Jason and I went to look at another apartment complex in Mukwonago, yesterday, which I thought looked nice. But our appointment to look at the apartment fell through because the guy didn't get permission to let us see it. But at least I could understand what was being said. At this point, all I care about is if the rent is affordable, it's 2 bedroom, and cats are welcome there, regardless of their age or whether or not they're declawed, and that's it's in Mukwonago or Waukesha.  Luckily we got to reschedule it for Wednesday, this week. And hopefully we'll find out if it's cat friendly and I'll get to see it, too. Hopefully I'll like it as well. If so, and we're approved, then I'm all for moving back into Mukwonago. No more living in Palmyra, no more driving through in and out of Eagle, just to get to wherever it is we're going in the Waukesha ...

I'm glad we're not going to be moving to Pewaukee

Well, I'm glad we're NOT moving to Pewaukee, WI. Not to that apartment where that Indian guy is the landlord. We already met with the guy, twice. He already showed us that apartment, twice. First time he showed it to us, he then calls us up to tell us that he gave it to someone else. Then he calls me back again saying he wanted to show us the apartment after he already showed it to us. Then after Jason tried calling him 3 times trying to tell him he'd give him the money, he tells Jason that he would have to show him the apartment to us when he already saw it. Does this guy not remember that we already met with him and that he already showed it to us? Does he need to take a picture of us right then and there, so he remembers he already met with us? Is he going senile or something? And this evening he calls me, trying to insult me. He said he set up an appointment for us to go view it but we never showed up, when we did, twice. At first I tried to be polite with him and said,...

Some updates

Ok, so maybe I thought I liked that 1 apartment we looked at in Pewaukee, at first. Then the landlord guy had us thinking he rented it out to someone else. And I know I was upset at first, but then after thinking it over, I decided that if we move back into the Waukesha county area, I'd rather either move back into Waukesha or Mukwonago. And if we get an apartment together in either of those areas, I'd rather get an apartment that's managed by a landlord who I can at least understand. The landlord of that place in Pewaukee had an accent which made it very hard for me to understand what he was saying. And I'd rather have a landlord who I can at least understand. Anyway, that Indian guy tried to get Jason and I to come back again and ended up having us look at the same unit again that he had us look at, the last time. It's like he didn't remember that he showed us the place before or that he saw us once before, and with him being an older man, I think he might be ...

Time to throw in the towel

I think it's time to throw in the towel, when it comes to looking for apartments in Waukesha county, for this year. The apartment we looked at in Pewaukee 2 weeks ago was taken. But we didn't have the money for immediate security deposit. We're probably going to have to stay put for the rest of the year, and start looking again next year. Maybe by then, we'll be able to get a house. But all I know is, we're getting closer and closer to the end of our lease for where we are, and we still haven't gotten a new place in Waukesha county where we can move to after our lease in Palmyra is up. Maybe I need to accept that it's just not going to happen, this year. I know I might have looked at other places online,  but it doesn't mean we're going to get any of them. And I don't want to wait until October just to move the hell out of here. If we can't move out of here after our lease for this place is up, then fuck it. We may as well stay put for the re...

Had a dream that had me laughing in my sleep last night.

So, I had this dream that had me laughing in my sleep. I dreamed that I came into this store and there were some clothes I liked, some were all glittery and sparkly. Some of them looked like some cute summer clothes I would maybe like to wear. But then some how I found out that either the clothes or the store was a gay department store. You know how they have gay bars? This was a clothes store that was supposed to be for people who were openly and flamboyantly gay. There were even t-shirts there for gay women saying, "I Like to kiss Girls"on it. All I know is, I woke up in the middle of the night laughing about it.

Pricing for a minivacation

So yesterday and today, I tried to look up information on both 6 Flags Great America and the Keylime Cove resort. If there's 1 thing I remember about staying there overnight, 7 years ago, it's that Jason said he liked staying at the Kalahari resort in the Wisconsin Dells alot better. Well, ironically enough, I found out that the Keylime Cove resort just recently a makeover. And not only did it get a makeover, but it's now the new Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee, Illinois. So, of we were to pull this trip off to Fright Fest at 6 Flags, this fall, and then stay there overnight, and at the same time, Jeremae and Tim had never stayed over night in such a fancy hotel resort, before,  then I'd say we're all in for a treat, this fall, if we save up whatever we can from work and what we get from SSI, and combine all that, I think we should be able to afford it. Now I know that Jeremae and Tim are also trying to save up for a car, and if that's something they need and want to...

Thinking about a mini vacation with Jason

Ok so, lately I've been doing some thinking some of the things I did, 10 years ago, and how much fun I had that summer and fall. Another fun thing I remember doing that fall was when me Jeremae, and Amy went to 6 Flags Great America, and how much fun that was when we went. Then I also thought about how Jason had wanted to go on a mini vacation this year. So I thought that maybe, me and Jason and Jeremae and Tim could get together this fall, and go to 6 Flags Great America for Fright Fest, again as a fun way of celebrating the Halloween. But if we do that, we should go on a Saturday, because then, the park is open, all day, during the day. And if it's open during the day, that'll make it easier to find our way around the park. And then maybe we could also stay over night at the Keylime Cove resort.  Or maybe we could also go to the Wisconsin Dells around Halloween, just to see what there all is going on, at that time, because it's cheaper. Maybe this next month after we...

11 months down, 1 more to go

Well, this is it. Only one more month left where we have to live in Palmyra, and then we're out of here! Well, hopefully, anyway. Before, it was 1 down, 11 months to go. Now we have 1 more month to go. Hopefully if we do get out of Palmyra, we should be in a new place in plenty of time to decorate our new place for Halloween.  I think how most of last year we were living in Waukesha county but ended up spending the rest of the year living in Palmyra. And now, this year we'll be living in Palmyra, but then we'll be wack in Waukesha county for the rest of the year. Some of hilights for July include that Jason and I actually went to watch the fireworks for the 4th of July. I got to go to Noah's Ark water park in the Wisconsin Dells, even if it was just with 1 other person and we got to do alot more things than I've been able to do in years. It's probably because of the order of which rides I went on, 1st, 2nd, and so on. I also went to Cool Waters in West Allis. ...

People are so stupid

So, supposedly I was supposed to get some stuff in the mail this last week in the mail from Waukesha Housing authorities, but that never came, because those idiots fucked up our addresses so it never came. I'm thinking this Thursday about going over there and telling those fucking morons to send it to my parent's house. And then I was also supposed to fill out some other paper work from Goodwill Industries, but I never got that in the mail either, because the dumb bitch sent it to the wrong address. I don't even live there anymore and she's sending it to an old address in Waukesha? I just want to punch her in the face!!! There's no way in hell I'm filling out any paperwork. Besides we already talked about this last year, and I thought I had given her the address where I was currently living when I was still living on Kensington drive in Waukesha, at the time. So if I'm not getting any paperwork from people who are supposed to be helping me in the mail like I...

Had to move Boo's litter box

So, last night, I was trying to figure out why I wasn't able to see the picture on the monitor of my computer desktop. I kept turning it on and off. And then I ended up having to use one of Jason's VGA for his computer, just so you can see everything that's on your desktop of your computer. It turns out, Boo chewed mine up, and that's why I wasn't able to see what was on my desktop of my computer. And so, I ended up moving Boo's litter box, and some of his other things into the living room of our apartment; which is just as well since we'll literally be moving out of our place in Palmyra, this fall. And if we're going to be moving out of Palmyra and back into the Waukesha county, it's probably just as well I move his litter box into the living room, eventhough it's not a very attractive thing to look at. That way when it comes time to start moving him and all his things out, they'll be right in the same place and ready to go. I'm already ...

Job search

Lately, I've been writing a lot of blogs regarding my wanting to move out of Palmyra. But today, I think I should talk about something a little different. Anyway, I've just been feeling all this pressure to get a job. And I haven't been able to find and keep a job that I would want to be able to do or keep it, long term. Especially if I want to move out of Palmyra. So last night while I was at a grocery store in Mukwonago, I saw they had applications and that they were looking for people to hire. So, I ended up filling one out. When I handed the application to someone at the store I happened to ask about what if a person looking for work has some kind of disability. They said a lot of their workers have disabilities, so it really wouldn't be a problem. I guess it's not a bad question to ask when looking for work, is what if you have some disabilities. Anyways, they called me to come in on July 29, for an interview. And if I'm able to get a job working at the Pi...

I think we might have gotten the apartment

Well, I think we might have gotten the apartment we looked at the other day, in Pewaukee. All we would have to do is give them security deposit in the coming month, and then, we'd either be able to move our things in at the beginning of September or at the end of August. If we got the okay to move there, then I have to say, goodbye, Palmyra. Rose, Jason and Boo are returning to Waukesha county! Waukesha county, you ready for us! Did you miss us?

The search for apartments maybe over

Well, after looking at the apartment in Pewaukee yesterday, I have to say that it might not look like the beautiful apartment we had to move out of at West Grove in Waukesha and it might not look like the apartments we looked at in Mukwonago that we liked. But what I saw still looked nicer than where we're living now, and it had some of the same features as our other place in West Grove apartments.  It has more cabinets in the kitchen like the 1 at West Grove. It has a dishwasher. Yay! It has 2 bedrooms. 1 small bedroom and a master, like the 1 at West Grove. The bathroom looks similar to 1 of the bathrooms we had at West Grove apartments. The complex also has above and under ground parking spaces like the West Grove apartments did. The place will also let us have pets. It also has a light in the hall way. It also has a walk in closet, which means more room for our clothes to go in, meaning more space for holiday decorations and photo albums. I think this might be what we're lo...

Don't know what the future will bring

Lately, every other time Jason makes it out to sound like we will be able to get out of Palmyra, and then every other time he makes it out to sound like we may have to stay put for another 6 to 8 months. God forbid that we stay there another full year. I know that Jason says that he wasn't going to stop looking for apartments in Waukesha county. But that doesn't mean we're actually going to be moving into any of them. But, everyday that's gone by so far this year,we keep getting closer and closer to it being the end of our lease. And as we keep getting closer to it being the end of our lease for where we are now, the more concerned I get about what we're going to do when our lease is up. I just want us to find a place we can move to in advance so that when our lease is up, we have somewhere to go. I want to get a nicer place to go, so that when our lease is up, we're prepared and some place to go when our lease is up. I know if one of us gets a job, at least, w...

To hell with it! I'm giving up!

I don't know why I even bothered going online looking for apartments in Waukesha county that we might actually be able to afford and are pet friendly, yesterday, when it turns out we're going to have to stay put where we are for another year. And those idiots at Waukesha Housing authorities fucked up our home address so that as a result, whatever it was they tried to send me last week got sent back, and put me on the list as, "inactive". And plus getting a hold of anyone from Waukesha Housing authorities is a pain in the ass. You can't contact anyone online or call anyone on the phone. That's a fucking joke! As for me ever getting a job this year? BULLSHIT!!! It's not going to happen. I knew there was a 50% chance at the beginning of the year that we may have to stay out here for the rest of the year and another 50% chance we might we might be able to move out of where we are. Well, our chances of moving back into Waukesha county have just gone down from 5...

Bad news

Well, that whole thing about us getting an apartment at Belinski apartments turned out to be just too  good to be true, and we're not going to be able to move out there, after all. As much as it would be nice to move out there, they'd want us to pay double security deposit which is way too expensive for us to afford. On top of that we wanted a lower 2 bedroom apartment, and they gave it to someone else. So, I guess the search continues.  I also finally got around to going to the Waukesha Housing Authorities. I've tried contacting them online and by phone and nothing. So I finally went over there today. I would have gone yesterday, but woke up with one of those nasty sinus infections. But anyways, I found out they had sent me something 3 days ago, only for it to be returned because when they sent it out they fucked up my address before sending it out. Since I had given them the right address as well as a my number for them to reach me at, maybe hopefully I'll be hearing ...

Well, we got accepted!

So, this afternoon Jason called me in regards to the apartment we looked at in Mukwonago. This last week, we ended up turning in our applications for the place, and pay stubs and what not. Anyway, Jason called to let me know that we got accepted by the Belinski property in Mukwonago.  YAY! You know, a few days ago, I just had this feeling we were going to be able get out of Palmyra, after all. I knew I had a good feeling about that place. And I can just see us living there. We also get to take a tour of the place on Monday morning at 9am. So if this means we should start packing things up this coming week, that means I'd better start getting my cat and all his things together, as well, and start moving them to my parent's house.

final decision made.

So today, Jason and I went to look at another apartment in Waukesha, from the same apartment management as the one we looked at in Mukwonago, 2 months earlier this year. And after talking to someone from the Belinski property management, I think Jason and I have decided that we want to take the one we looked at in Mukwonago. I just hope there aren't any apartments there that have been taken yet. Especially if they have dishwashers in them. I hope we can get it, too. I had a really good feeling about the one we looked at in Mukwonago, and I can totally see us living there. All we got to do is turn in a 25 dollar application and we're set. The only thing is that is if we move there, it won't be until the first of September, which is fine. Otherwise if we move there in August, we would have to pay double rent. So in other words, the good news is we finally decided on where we want to move. The bad news is we're going to still be living in Palmyra for the rest of the summer...

The apartment hunting continues

Now I know last month we looked at apartments. I know I liked 3 out of 5 of them. But some of them were too expensive. Anyways, I did another search on apartments. Preferably a 2 bedroom apartment. Anyways I found 4 apartments that might seem like a possible candidate. They're all located in Waukesha, they're all either $750.00-$850.00 a month, they're all cat friendly, and they all have dishwashers in them. I hope we do get to look at some of the ones I looked at soon, and that we can try to snag one of them, at least. I know I might have said that we might not have to live in Palmyra all summer long. But either way, we're still going to be living in Palmyra for the majority of the year. But hopefully we'll be back in Waukesha for the rest of the year, and in plenty of time to celebrate Halloween, my birthday, and Christmas. And after looking at some of the apartments online, I have to say, some of them look similar to what we had when we were at West Grove apartme...

Finally, highlights mentioned in June so far

Well, here we are, wrapping it up with another month in the year. I got through another season of living in Palmyra. I got through living out here in the fall, the winter, and the spring, and now I got to get through living out here in the summer. But fortunately, we won't have to live out here all summer long. I just recently wrote a letter to our Land Lord that we don't plan on staying where we are for another year. So hopefully, we should be getting out of here soon, but not real soon. Other highlights for this month are that although this year's Relay For Life in Mukwonago has been cancelled, at least I got to go to End of the Leash in Mukwonago and meet some shelter dogs who were available for adoption. I also got to go to the carnival in Mukwonago that was going on over Father's Day weekend. I got Christina Aguilera's new CD. My mom also filled out an adoption application for the Lakeland animal shelter so that when she comes back from her vacation later thi...

(originally written on May 22, 2018) Made it through another season, and plans for moving the cat

(originally written on May, 22/2018) Well, Jason and I got through living in Palmyra in the fall. We got through living out here in the winter, and now we still have to get through living out here in the spring, and then we have to get through living out here in the summer. The good news is however is that we're really only going to be living out here for 2 out of the 3 months of the summer. So we might not have to be living out here all summer long, after all. But we're still going to be coming in and out of Palmyra all summer long, and that's also going to depend on which apartment will accept our applications as well as the date the land lord or manager says we can start moving in. Jason and I liked the one that we looked at in Mukwonago, the best. I can just see us living there. I have a good feeling about that place, too. I do know that at least whatever day that is, I'm going to make sure that I get our cat and all his things out of where we are now at least a d...

Apartments looked at so far

Ok, this was also originally written on May 20, 2018: This month, we started looking at apartments in the Waukesha county. We looked at one in Pewaukee, Mukwonago, and of course Waukesha. One good thing about where we looked at apartments so far is that they're all in good neighborhoods, and they all let you have pets. And when it comes to looking for apartments in the Waukesha county, I'm making my cat a top consideration. After what I've seen, here's which ones I like best: 1. I liked the 1 on Fleetwood in Waukesha. It's not too far from Minooka park, which also has a beach. It's also not too far from where I would have to go if I needed to go to the dentist's office. 2. I liked the apartment we saw in Mukwonago even though it didn't appear to have a dishwasher in the unit. I did however like how it had that open kitchen bar. And if me, Jason and Boo (the cat) were to move there, at least we'd be living some place where I already know my way ...

The search for an apartment continues

Ok, this is something I orginally wanted to write back in May. Right now, I'm just making up for lost time on here, seeing that my boyfriend and I have now been without internet access for going on 2 months now, just about. Anyway, here's my blog entry for May 12, 2018 last weekend, Jason and I ended up looking online for apartments located in Waukesha that were under $1,000.00 a month that were also pet friendly. And last Sunday we looked at another apartment in Waukesha off of Moreland Blvd. After looking at it, I had kinda mixed feelings about living there, considering it doesn’t have all the same features our old apartment had while we were living at West Grove. Two days later, I got a text letting me know that they took applications from someone else. So maybe it’s for the best we didn’t get the apartment. But as they say, 3rd time’s a charm. Shortly after finding out we didn’t get that apartment in Waukesha, we found out about another apartment that was under ...

The search for a new apartment in Waukesha, WI continues

So, earlier today, Jason and I were looking online at apartments in Waukesha that's rent is under 800.00. And there was a number I ended up calling. Turns out the number I called was the number to the apartment manager at the place we looked at online. And I got a call back letting me know that the apartment will let you have 1 cat. But no dogs, which is fine because we have our cat, Boo, and that's it. So we also went to go look at it, this afternoon. Well, actually we got to see a unit that looks similar to the apartment that's going to be available for rent a little later this summer. The living room was a little bit smaller than what we have at our place. But it still looked nicer than what we have, currently, other than that. The manager let us know that if we moved in with our cat, we wouldn't get charged for having a cat, which I think is a good deal. The unit also looks like it had more closet space in both bedrooms and one of the bedrooms is a master bedroom. W...

Highlights for April as of this year

So when looking back on the month of April, here are the monthly highlights, so far: 1. I got to go to the Women's ARC Luncheon 2. Got to go to the autism conference even though it was just for 1 night. So Jason and I finally went on a vacation to the Dells together. 3. The next night I got to go to the Autism Gala. 4. We also got some new pet insurance to cover our cat, in case he had any medical emergencies, as well as future trips to the vet, so we no longer have to pay out of pocket 5. The month of April may have started out with temperatures only being in the 30's and 40's. But during the last full week of April, temperatures finally got into the 50's and 60's. And by the last day of April, it was almost 80 out. I couldn't ask for a better way to end the month. 6. I got through another month of living out in Palmyra. Good news is that we have less than a year left before our lease is up. The Bad news is we still have 3 more months to go. 7. We got t...

The Search for a new apartment begins!

Today we finally went to look at one of the apartments for 745.00. The apartment is in a nice neighborhood. And the inside of it looks nicer than what we have now. It has a master bedroom and a regular sized bedroom, kind of like our old place at West Grove. There's also a light in the hallway. That's a plus. What's interesting is the landlord of the apartment we looked at today happened to be the parent of somebody that Jason went to high school with. I will say, the apartment unit we looked at and the neighborhood where it's located was nice. But I'm not getting my hopes up. There's no guarantees that we'll get the apartment. So I'm probably going to have to hold off on taking any pictures of the place until I know for sure we've got it. There maybe 2 other apartments we want to look at before making a decision. Either way, I'm not saying anything just yet on facebook on whether or not we'll be moving back into Waukesha.

Spring cleaning

Well, tonight, Jason and I ended up doing a little bit of spring cleaning. But I figured that maybe from now for the next 3 or 4 months, I should make sure I keep this place where we're living a little cleaner, because we're probably not going to be living in Palmyra for too much longer. Anyways, the other day I left a voice mail for a landlord to check out an apartment in Waukesha that I mentioned in the last blog. Well, today she called me back about the apartment. So on Monday, we have an appointment to look at the unit. But there are no guarantees that we'll be moving there when our lease is up. Either way, I'm looking forward to checking the place out on Monday. I know we're definitely going to have to do some looking at apartments, this summer. Preferably ones that will at least let you have cats. So far, I know that the apartment we'll be looking at has air conditioning in it, like our old place did at West Grove. That's a plus. It's also internet...

Thoughts about random stuff

Well, let's see. I know that I don't want to live in Palmyra for another year. Jason doesn't, either. This means, that with May being right around the corner, we are going to have to let the landlord know that we do plan on moving back out of Palmyra, into Waukesha when our lease is up. I guess this means that come May and through out this summer, we really need to start looking at places in Waukesha. Preferably a place located in a nice neighborhood, pet friendly, has 2 bedrooms. Maybe has a balcony or a porch with outlets into the wall outside, so in case we want to listen to the radio outside, or plug in holiday lights, later in the year. Hopefully some place that's nicer than where we are, now. It might not have a walk in closet or a dish washer, but maybe it'll still be some where nicer than where we are, now. All I know is, one day we will end up leaving Palmyra. And when we do, we'll be leaving there, for good. Anyways, if you were to experience how the ...

The apartment search has officially begun!

So, last night Jason mentioned something to me about moving back into Waukesha. He said that if I wanted to move back into Waukesha, then we'd better start looking for apartments, now. Well, anyways, where we're living in Palmyra, if we do plan on moving out when our lease is up, we need to let our current land lord know that we're moving again 3 months in advance. And with the month of May being right around the corner, I think it's best we start looking, soon. Luckily, I was able to go on the website, coolpads.com and found 2 apartments under 800.00 that will accept cats. Because right now, if we get another new apartment in Waukesha, I know that whether or not it has a dish washer or a walk in closet is probably the least of our worries. The important thing right now is that we're able to get something that's within a range we can afford that's not in the ghetto. Another important thing is that we can have pets there.Luckily, I was able to look up 2 diffe...

Finally, Spring weather is here!

Well, this has been an interesting month. And unfortunately not as good of a month as I would like it to be. Right now my boyfriend and I have been struggling to find a good job and keep it. On the plus side of things, as of this last weekend through this week and next week, temperatures are finally getting into the 50's through the 70's. And it's about time, too. Good bye, 30 and 40 degree weather. I'm sorry, but temperatures only being in the 30s and 40's when it's the month of April just isn't acceptable. At least on the last day of this month, it's going to be much warmer than what it was at the end of April of last year. And it's about time, too. Last Wednesday we had a snow storm, which I think is absolutely ridiculous for this time of year. I mean, really? It should NOT be snowing in April. As far as my boyfriend and I are doing, financially, we are struggling with finding a job and keeping it. I tried going to 2 different temp agencies, whe...

This week's weather forecast

Well here we are, another week of April. Last month, temperatures were only in the high 30's and low 40's all month long. It might have felt good in the beginning but not by the end of the month. That's pretty messed up. And most of last week, temperatures have pretty much been the same. Fortunately as of tomorrow, it's finally supposed to get up into the 50's from then until Saturday this week. Good bye 30 degree temperatures. Unfortunately temperatures are going to return to the high 30's on Sunday and Monday, but it should warm up next week after that, into the higher 40's and hopefully the 50's. That's where it needs to be. No more snow, no more 30 and 40 degree weather. Next Tuesday through Thursday temperatures are going to be close to the 50's. But as for temperatures getting into the 50's and 60's later this week, I really wish they could just stay up there for the rest of the month. That's what Spring should feel like.Winter ...

April

Well, here we are at the start of another month. You'd think by now, it would be much warmer. Through out this whole last month, temperatures have pretty much only been in the 30's and 40's. Maybe it did spike into the higher 40's and low 50's. Other than that, this weather has been kinda crappy, temperature wise. Now, I'll admit, 40 to 50 degrees in January and February felt good. Doesn't feel so good in March, though. I like when it gets warm like that in January in February. What I don't like is when temperatures get into the 40's and 50's in January and February, but it can't even get into the 50's and 60's for the months of March and April, and temperatures have to be much warmer in the later winter months than they do in the spring months. It's like this weather just doesn't want to cooperate. Last week I got lined up with a temporary job that starts tomorrow. I just hope I can hang in there and get through this, conside...

Libby's here!

Image
In past blogs, I had written how we had to say good bye to our yellow lab after 11 years, the day after Christmas, 3 months ago. I also had written about how maybe I needed to have a stuffed dog made to look like her, rather than have one made to look like Jason's dog. Well, as of today, She's here! This afternoon while I was on the phone, I heard someone ring our doorbell. So when I answered it, what should be at our front door but a white box. When I read to see what it said on there, I knew instantly, it was Libby. Now I can hug her for real. In some ways it looks exactly like her. I try to associate it with the memories I have of her. It's also I think good practice for our cat, so if one day we do get another dog together as a couple, then he's prepared. It's also probably the closest he's going to come to being around a dog, for the time being. At least I can give this cuddle clone a hug, since I had missed Libby so much.

Signs that we maybe moving out of Palmyra this year!

Ok, here's what I've noticed. Every single month so far, I've seen indications that we're going to be moving again, after our lease is up in Palmyra: 1. First day of the whole year, Jason told me he wanted to try to move us back into Waukesha 2. He did say that when our lease was up that He wasn't going to want to renew the lease for another year of living out here 3. When he had a job in New Berlin, briefly, he had said on the phone as well as to me that if he worked in New Berlin, that we would have to move there just so we'd be closer to his job. 4. He also said that worst case scenario was we move to Pewaukee. He had also talked about later this year moving back into Waukesha at the beginning of March of 2018. 5. He said that when he was out and about yesterday, he had been looking at apartments and their prices. I hope he checks to make sure that they're pet friendly. Let's hope there's more indications that we will be able to move back ...

The weather forecast for next week

Well, here we are, approaching the last full week of another month gone by. Through out most of this month, temperatures have been in the upper 30's and 40's which isn't really a bad way to start out the beginning of March considering in past years, temperatures would only be in the 10's and 20's at the beginning of March, and they'd warm up more than just 20 degrees by the end of the month, if we were lucky.  No, the beginning of this month temperatures were in the 30's, which is usually a little warmer. And after temperatures being in the 30's and 40's most of the month, as of the final week in March, they're finally going to be moving up into the 50's and low 60's. I could not ask for a better way to finish out the month of March. As mentioned earlier, high lights of March are always the shamrock shakes, daylight savings time, and weather getting warmer, if we're lucky. This year, I finally got to try that Irish cream flavored Gela...

what's been going on lately

Ok, here's the scoop for this week: Just been trying to go to they gym every single day this week, like usual. This last weekend we had Day Light Savings Time, and thank God days are finally going to be getting longer. Jason and I also got to go the Rockabilly Chili cook off in Milwaukee. And out of all the Chili that I've tried this year, there were 3 of them I really liked a lot. There was a German Chili made with Sausage, sour kraut, and cheese. That was really good. Then I tried a vegetarian chili, which had a sweet taste to it, which I thought was good. But the one that I thought was absolutely amazing this year was this chili pizza. I wonder if they were there last year as well, and I just avoided trying it, because I was afraid I wasn't going to like it. Well, anyway, the pizza chili was really good. It tasted exactly like pizza! Now it makes me want to make some pizza chili just like it.  Note to self: The German Chili I tried this year is from The Old German Beer...

Well, here we are

Well, here we are, into another month. I survived another Winter season. This week was the last full week without Day Light Savings Time. Starting on this coming Sunday, the clocks get turned an hour ahead, and we have more day light. In this first full week of March, my boyfriend and I ended up celebrating his birthday, together. And last weekend I bought him a new t-shirt for his birthday, and he got a couple of cards. On Monday this week, we celebrated his birthday by going to Red Lobster, since he had been wanting to eat there for his birthday last year, but didn't get to. Jason also got another new job in Watertown. The one thing I like about it is that he gets out of work early on Fridays. If at the same time he doesn't have to work on a Saturday, and here I already booked reservations last month for the Kalahari Resort for 2 adults, I think this might work out. And I"m pumped. I had been saying that right now our chances of whether or not we'll be able to move a...

So far.....

Ok, when we first moved out of Waukesha into Palmyra, Jason had said that if we lived out here, it would be just for a year, and then we'd come back. So far, we got through living out here for another season. Hard to believe that January of this year was already 2 months ago! So let's see. We got through living in Palmyra in the fall, and we just got through the winter while living in Palmyra. Now we have to get through the Spring, and summer. I mean we got through living out here in September, October, November, December, January, and February. And we still have March, April, May, June, July, and August. So that puts us at the half way mark.
